Cua dai beach
The Cua Dai Beach is located in the area of Cam An Ward, about 4km to the north-east of Hoi An Town. The Cua Dai Beach is over 3km in length and up to 300m in width. The beach withits fine white sand, clear and blue water, moderate slopes and small waves is the tourism center with many services and the ideal for recreational activities like swimming and other sea sports.
Cham Island- A World Biosphere Reserve
Cham Island is situated in Tan Hiep Commnue, 20km from Hoi An in the direction of the East Sea. Cu Lao Cham consists of eight islets very close to one another: Hon Lao, Hon Kho Me, Hon Kho Con, Hon Tai, Hon Dai, Hon La, Hon Mo and Hon Ong.
According to archaeologists, Cu Lao Cham first settled there 3,000 years ago and established business contacts with external countries some 1,000 years ago. Up to now, Cu Lao Cham has preserved many architectural constructions which date back to the 18th -20th century. They include Hai Tang Pagoda built in 1758,the shrine dedicated to Than Yen Sao built in 1843, the famed Well of the Cham people. Cham Island has many other poetic landscapes, white-sand and pristine beaches such as Bai Ong, Bai Bim, Bai Chong, Bai Bac and attractive destinationssuch as Suoi Tinh, Cau Mo, Suoi Ong and so on, where tourists can relax, go hunting, fishing even fishing octopuses. Travelers also have chances to view the sea swallows-nests clinging to the towering cliff. Cham Island is famous for its seafood and delicacies (octopuses, lobsters, fish fin, abalone, kaki, hind, cholonias eggs, bird nests) and fascinating souvenirs (pearls, conches, tortoise-shells)
Thu Bon River
The Thu Bon River is one of the beautiful rivers of Vietnam and has been repeatedly portrayed in poetry. The river begins at an altitude of 2,598m in the Ngoc Linh Mountain and then runs across the south-western mountainous area to meet the Tien and Tranh Rivers at Que Tan. From there, it flows through Que Son, Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, Dien Ban, Hoi An, and finally into the sea at Cua Dai.
The Thu Bon River passes through many beautiful landscapes and famous villages such as Dai Buong fruit village, Kim Bong Carpenter Village, Thanh Ha Ceramic Village, or the area having Champa cultural architecture of Quang Nam.
Taking the boat trip on Thu Bon River, tourists can see many beautiful landscapes on the two banks of the river or visit some famous traditional handicraft villages and fruit villages.
Tam Thanh Beach
Tam Thanh Beach belongs to Tam Thanh commune, is about 7km to the east of Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province. Tam Thanhis a beautiful and clear beach, always full of sunshine. Tam Thanh Beach is about a few dozen hectares, suitable to build the eco-tourism area with a large scale.
Ban Than
Located in Tam Hai Commune, Nui Thanh District, to the north of Bai Rang, Ban Than is a place for people who love excitement, and is ideal for organizing adventurous tours. This is a black cliff standing out of the white sand and the blue sea water. This cliff is more than 2km long, 40m high, consisting of pieces of stone lying on one another, with veins of different designs and images, looking like unique sculptural pieces made by the creator. You will feel dizzy standing on top of this cliff, amidst the sky and winds from the sea. Ban Than is close to Chu Lai Combat Base, about 8km to the east of national Highway 1A.
Hon Kem - Da Dung Landscape
The Hon Kem - Da Dung landscape lie alongside the two banks of Thu Bon River belonging to the two communes of Que Lam and QuePhuoc (Que Son District). This landscape is an area of two ranges of stone mountains with strange images and patterns stretching out and interfering with the flow of Thu Bon River. Hon Kem - Da Dung is has inspired many poems, music, and pictures of the Vietnamese people.
The excitement of Hon Kem - Da Dung does not only lie in the romantic scene of rivers and mountains, but also in the inscriptions of the old ChiemThanh characters seen on pieces of rock of tens of tons heavy which stand out mirroring themselves on the water of Thu Bon River. This place can be reached by boat up from Hoi An and VinhDien with a visit to My Son Holy Land on the way, or overland from Que Son District through Deo Le (Le Pass) and TrungPhuoc Market, and continue by boat to the place. Visitors will travel pass beautiful villages, green mulberry and corn fields, and crowded markets on rivers. Visitors can also go across the river at TrungPhuoc Market to visit a village called Dai Buong, which is famous in Quang Nam for its orchards.
Fairy Spring
Fairy Spring is located in QueHiep commune, Que Son district. SuoiTien Spring is an ideal tourist attraction including 13 waterfall chains flowing slowly in the middle of the superb forest, like a fairyland scene.Tourists can visit the vestige of the Vanguard Youth Women Ba Thao battalion standing by the waterfall in struggle against the Imperialists.
Phu Ninh Lake
PhuNinh Lake is located about 7km to the west of Tam Ky City. This lake is artificial lake and an irrigation workswith forest area of 23,400 hectares and a water area of 3,433 hectares.
The huge lake is surrounded with many islands covered mountains, and green forest. The forest has 70species of wood, 170 species of medicinal plant and fruit trees, many species of bird, 34 species of mammals, 26 species of reptiles. There are 14 species of animal recorded in the Red Book such as red-face monkey, red wolf; red-check parrot…With cool air and diversified fauna and flora systems all year round, PhuNinh is an ideal ecotourism area.The Chap Tra valley is a mineral resource found in the middle of the quiet lake. This mineral resource is used for medical treatment such as bile, liver, and stomach diseases...
Now, Phu Ninh Lake is developing tourism through a variety of attractive ecotourism ideas: excursion, picnic, fishing, hot water bathe and medical treatment with hot water.
Kim Bong Carpenter Village
Kim Bong Carpenter Village is located in Cam Kim Commune, Hoi An city.
The carpentry of this village is believed to originate from North Vietnam, and has long been famous with its arts of wood carving and sculpture. Through contact and exchange with artisans of the same trade from ChiemThanh, China, Japan and so on, combined with their own skills; these Kim Bong carpenters have created pieces of work which have normally great meaning in philosophy and fine arts.
Products made here have been marketed in domestic as well as oversea markets.
Thanh Ha Ceramic Village
Thanh Ha Ceramic Village is located in Cam Ha Commune, Hoi An city. This pottery trade of this village is believed to originate from ThanhHoa Province. From clay as main raw material, the clever hands of artisans create pottery products for domestic use, such as bowls, jars, vases, ornament tree pots, with a variety of shapes and colors, and with great durability. These pottery products are on display and on sale at souvenir shops and are very popular with visitors.
Phuoc Kieu Bronze Casting Village
Phuoc Kieu Bronze Casting Village is located in Dien Phuong Commune, Dien Ban District. Some of the products made by this village are bells, gongs, gong-like music instruments, incense burners, lamp holders, ancient vases, and other bronze musical instruments which are normally used in festivals, ceremonies and everyday life.These musical instruments can give out unique sounds due to special techniques of combination of different types of metals in the process of casting which only the skilled artisans can do.
